Question 1

Who can create a closing?

Accepted Answer

Any party involved can request a closing, including buyers and sellers in a For Sale By Owner transaction. Create an account, select a closing attorney or title company, and choose an available time. The closing agent confirms the request.

Question 2

Who can change or complete a closing?

Accepted Answer

Only the designated closing agent—the closing attorney or title company—can confirm, reschedule, cancel, or mark a closing closed. The person who requested a closing can withdraw it while it is still awaiting confirmation.

Question 3

What if the closing agent is already booked?

Accepted Answer

A requested or scheduled closing within one hour of your selected time blocks that time. Choose another available time for your request.

Question 4

Who can invite participants?

Accepted Answer

The person creating the closing includes the transaction participants in the request. After confirmation, the closing agent can add participants from the closing page. A notice is recorded for everyone on the closing.

Question 5

Does everyone need an account?

Accepted Answer

Real estate agents, loan officers, and closing professionals need a Free or Pro account. Buyers and sellers who want to create a closing request need an account. A notice is recorded for everyone on the closing when it is scheduled or changes.

Question 6

Is Book My Closing free for buyers and sellers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free accounts include unlimited closing creation and participation, and every party is notified without purchasing Pro.

Question 7

Can I add a closing to Outlook or another calendar?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a closing is confirmed, each participant's notice includes a calendar invite that works with Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar. When the closing agent reschedules or cancels, the invite updates or removes the event on your calendar. Changes you make in your own calendar don't change the closing — only the closing agent can, in Book My Closing. You can also add a closing from its page with the Google Calendar, Outlook, or .ics buttons.

Question 8

How does the referral program work?

Accepted Answer

Refer a professional. When that person completes their first closing with Book My Closing, you earn 30 days of Pro. Each referred professional can earn you one reward, and rewards extend your existing Pro time.

Question 9

Are payments and notifications live?

Accepted Answer

In this MVP, Pro upgrades are simulated and do not charge a card. Closing notifications are recorded in Sent messages instead of being delivered — email and text message delivery will both be connected separately.
